Girls Gearing Up partners with public, private, and international schools worldwide to create a unique global girl village.
GGU contributes to students' long-term success At Girls Gearing Up, girls have a plethora of opportunities every day to take on new challenges, develop new skills, and work with others toward common goals. Another unique aspect of camp is learning about global causes, participating in community service, and connecting with exceptional female leaders from around the world, such as Olympic athletes, leading social entrepreneurs and award-winning artists and scientists.
GGU provides an excellent opportunity for students from IB world schools to work toward a number of Community Action Service (CAS) learning outcomes.
GGU is good for schools In the past, school staff has also reported that the camp experience was not only of great benefit to the participants themselves, but also to the whole school community, as campers created a positive ripple effect upon their return.
